Welcome to Released Time Bible class!

The name “Released Time” comes from the law that allows students to be released from class weekly for 1 hour (with parent or guardian permission) for religious instruction. This is legal in all 50 states.

What to Expect.

Teachers will meet the students near the school office and walk them to the Bible Bus, the bus stays parked during the class. Each lesson will include a time of prayer, worship and a Bible teaching. Each student will receive a Bible and are encouraged to bring their Bible to class. Students should read their Bible daily and memorize their memory verse weekly. There is no class on school holidays, minimum days and/or if it rains. If a student misses a class, they can read the lesson summary or watch a recorded version at cvcebibleclass.com/lessons. Please create an account on our website to participate in the Zoom class live discussion.

Our first Bible verse is about giving thanks. Do you say “thank you” very often?

You probably say “thank you” when someone does something nice for you. Saying “thank you” also helps to remind us that what we have often comes from other people. Actually, what we have ALWAYS comes from God. Think about this. Did you create and give yourself the sun so you could see during the day? Did you make your own legs so you could walk, skip, and jump? Did you make your own eyes so you could read this page? No, none of us did any of these things.

But God did!

God is the only one who could. And believe it or not, these are all blessings from God to you. Even when someone does something for us, God gave that person the ability and the resources to do it. God gave that person strength for the day so that he or she could do something good. God also gives you the strength to say, “thank you.”

So, remember!

Remember to count your blessings! You will be happier! When you say “thank you” over the next few days, remember that God deserves our thanks too. So, sail some thank-you mail to Him in prayer right now!
